Business valuations

The business valuation involves the valuation of the company, of the goodwill, and other intangible assets. The company valuation objectives derive from the needs of the users of this service, namely the current and potential investors (shareholders), employees, creditors, specialised state institutions and the general public.

Before valuating a company, one must know the valuation objective, because, for various objectives, one shall use adequate valuation methods, from which different size value types result. Therefore, the cases and objectives of the valuation can be grouped in: sale-purchase of a company or of a package of shares, to obtain funding, public tender, charges and taxes.
